Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds Becomes Nautical Hub This Weekend with Annual Boat Show |
Dozens of marine dealers showcase 2026 models, pontoons, and lake lifestyle gear at three-day Expo Center event |
Winter may grip Southwest Michigan, but Kalamazoo County is about to transform into a boater's paradise as the annual boat show returns to the fairgrounds.
The Kalamazoo Boat Show kicks off Friday at the Expo Center, bringing together marine dealers from across the region for a weekend celebration of lake life.
Twelve major vendors will display over 60 brands, making this year's show the largest yet for the four-year-old event.
Show coordinator Kerry Moore expressed excitement about the expanded lineup, noting several new vendors and brands joining the weekend showcase.
Visitors can explore everything from brand-new 2026 models and equipment to paddleboards, custom decking, docks and lifts spread across the spacious fairground facility.
Southwest Michigan's marine industry has deep roots, with established dealers like High's Marine serving the region for over 70 years and newer operations expanding their footprints.
The show opens Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m.
Sunday wraps up at 4 p.m., giving families a perfect weekend outing before the school week resumes.
Admission remains affordable at $10 for adults, while children 12 and under enter free.
The timing couldn't be better for boat shopping, as dealers typically offer their most aggressive pricing during winter shows before spring demand heats up.
Pontoons continue dominating the local market, though organizers promise watercraft representing every boating interest and budget.
For Southwest Michigan residents dreaming of summer adventures on the region's abundant lakes, this weekend offers the perfect chance to compare models, meet dealers, and secure financing before the rush begins.
The Kalamazoo County Expo Center provides an ideal venue for the show, with ample parking and climate-controlled comfort while Michigan's winter weather rages outside. |
